I had a mouse slip and accidentally put my desktop PC into airplane mode. Then my wireless mouse and wireless keyboard didn't work. Rebooting did not help.
The answer is to connect a wired mouse and turn off airplane mode from settings. I happened to have an old wired mouse in a drawer and this worked.
